Discretization of bounded harmonic functions on Riemannian manifolds and entropy
We give conditions under which the space of bounded harmonic functions on a Riemannian manifold M is naturally isomorphic to the space of bounded harmonic functions of a Markov chain on a discrete net X M arising from a discretization procedure for the pair (M; X). If, further, M is a regular covering manifold and the net is invariant with respect to the deck transformation group, then the entr...
متن کاملTangential Convergence of Bounded Harmonic Functions on Generalized Siegel Domains
Suppose u(x, y) is a bounded harmonic function on the upper half plane such that lim x→∞ u(x, yo) = a for some yo > 0. Then one can prove that lim x→∞ u(x, y) = a for any other positive y. In this paper, we shall consider the algebra of radial integrable functions on the H-type groups and obtain a similar result for the bounded harmonic functions on generalized Siegel domain.
متن کاملOn polynomially bounded harmonic functions on the Z lattice
We prove that if f : Zd → R is harmonic and there exists a polynomial W : Zd → R such that f + W is nonnegative, then f is a polynomial.
متن کاملBounded Holomorphic Functions on Bounded Symmetric Domains
Let D be a bounded homogeneous domain in C , and let A denote the open unit disk. If z e D and /: D —► A is holomorphic, then ß/(z) is defined as the maximum ratio \Vz(f)x\/Hz(x, 3c)1/2 , where x is a nonzero vector in C and Hz is the Bergman metric on D . The number ßf(z) represents the maximum dilation of / at z . The set consisting of all ß/(z), for z e D and /: D —► A holomorphic, is known ...
متن کاملGeodesics and Bounded Harmonic Functions on Infinite Planar Graphs
It is shown there that an infinite connected planar graph with a uniform upper bound on vertex degree and rapidly decreasing Green's function (relative to the simple random walk) has infinitely many pairwise finitelyintersecting geodesic rays starting at each vertex. We then demonstrate the existence of nonconstant bounded harmonic functions on the graph. Let g be an infinite, simple, connected...
